its been a while since I've used a pre-release. my custom actions and cycle actions that use mouse modifiers have broken.

Command ID 25099 and 25096, 39270, and 39280 are missing to name a few

Heck, I was so fixated on comping that I actually missed that...

Amazing! We can now (somewhat) set metadata via script... Thanks devs!

I'm not sure whether what you're hearing is the buffer being cleared when it doesn't need to be, or the buffer not being cleared when it should be. Are you getting a delay on initial playback, or after certain kinds of edits, or... ?

So a few pres back it was Melodyne that, after touching a blob during playback (or right before playback) that specific media would not play, and eventually kick in after about a second.

That has since subsided, not sure if something changed.

But this new behaviour is almost exactly the same, but not related to Melodyne. Nothing will have been touched, it's literally hitting Play and there's a gap before the selected Fixed Lane track "kicks in". I had to give at least an extra bar of pre-roll when doing punch-ins because it took a second for the vocal to kick in for the artist to have context.

This might be related, not sure if you guys are following this thread : https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=227950 -- lots of deep testing related to crackling, buffering issues, PDC, sends, and the relationship between them all.

Adjusting fades with ctrl+drag

Is it possible to adjust length of crossfade preserving center and without moving comp areas? Now it doesn't feel right.

Thank you, I only bring it up because this is recent behaviour and I haven't touched the buffer settings during any of these Fixed Lanes pres.

Maybe try setting the media buffer to 150ms or so? 0ms is really asking for trouble.

This can’t exist in 6.78 — can you simplify it to be hardware outs to physical hardware instead?

Well the behavior seems to only be with unsoloed track that are sending to another project via the loop back hidden function? This has been how I’ve used it until now.

+ Media explorer: add actions to edit metadata tags

Thank you Schwa, I tested this feature on the dev version and it works great.
