Is it possible to add "+" button, which would be more intuitive?

"FX: Show parameter modulation/reference for last affected FX parameter" and
"FX: Show/hide track envelope for last touched FX parameter"
already works correctly with items in dev0311, can they be included in the current version?

Edit: sorry, my fault: hit the "lock time selection button" by accident :-((
Hi, is it my fault or is there a little bug? I'm unable to move or expand the selection in the timeline with the mouse. All other mouse-functions seem to work.
Thanks,
Wolfgang

There is one even in older versions, which in reality is a menu button, but it has adding a new tab menu item.

First menu item "New project tab" (6.75). But that's still an additional step. Same you can do from File menu.

Lately I am sometimes triggering a graphical weirdness which I guess is related to these changes:
https://i.ibb.co/Hp0L7KY/midi-window.gif
It happens when I run my custom action for recalling my default screenset (each time I run it the MIDI editor jumps like in the gif):
When it does happen it can be repeated (as seen in the gif) but most of the time it doesn't happen and I don't know what triggers it. Maybe something with window focusing/maximizing between my main screen and secondary screen
Maybe it also has to do with the fact my dual monitor setup consists of a 27" FullHD screen and a MBP retina screen.
It's going to be hard to troubleshoot (and I can live with this) but I figured I mention it so you can maybe doublecheck the MIDI screenset features before releasing the update.

And this just doesn't work somehow. I doubleclick the empty space next to the rightmost project tab and absolutely nothing happens.
macOS 10.14 btw

We were referring to a + button to the right of the last tab that does not have a menu but just opens new tab – absolutely standard UX for ~15 years...

When i click on that little plus the menu opens. From there I can add a new tab.
When I click into the empty space in the tab bar, this creates a new tab.
No issue for me I don't use it anyway.
Reaper 7.78 opens rapidly as before and the project song plays like ever, all fine !

This is reaper though, right click drag to select things instead of left click drag like every other program 😆
I like the new double click to add new tab tho

I do like as well but if the tab section is viewable by default.
When hidden ppl who doesn't know about it, start asking ""if it's possible more tabs as in ..." ...
Just give the tabs viewable and let ppl to improve their mind to use them.
Something hidden, is not easily discoverable.
And it's useless to tell "there are tutorials". From the zillions of posts from here and from the social, I see is that ppl don't pay a sh*t to looking for tutorials. So you need to put things under their nose as much as possible.
One of the goal should be "at the distance of 1 -2 click(s)" from one side and "as musch as possible: ergonomy"

Now that the MIDI editor performance got a little love, can you guys look into this absolute nightmare of performance leak? Might be related.
Basically if you have a lot of midi clips on tracks that is routed to a channel that has PDC on it, and you open them in one MIDI editor per project, Reaper can freeze down to 20-30!!!! seconds.
Here is a video:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wvuirol5sx...41-51.mkv?dl=0
First there is no PDC on the group track, everything is fine.
Then i enable it, and opening the MIDI editor - freezes for long long times.
The time will increase by how much your CPUs are working.
Here is a detailed report with video and project file to test:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=264690

A thread dedicated to the PDC / glitching behaviour here, with some pretty in depth tests trying to narrow it down. Related to HighVoltage's post:

Actually there was "+" button for a longer time, but for some reason it behaves heavily unintuitive. It opens menu, where you can add a new tab. Instead I suggest it opening new tab, but on right click it could show this menu or it could have its own button.
