"JS loading" Reaper boot hang (Mojave)

On a 2014 MacMini with Mojave and Reaper603 I get a 5+ minute beachball on the "JS loading" Reaper screen on boot up. I've compared the prefs to those on another identical Mini, tried new installs etc etc, no luck. What is going on here? Why the hang up @ JS? I have Reaper on 5 other computers and have never seen this before, it usually just works? I have read through the other threads on this subject, but nothing in those has helped....thanks
