Default How to insert media explorer item at selected location?

Right now I'm trying to, when I right click an item I find in my media explorer, have it drop the item on the track directly below the one I'm working with.

Currently, the behaviour is like: right-click, 'Insert into project on a new track', which is what I want.. but this new track is allll the way at the bottom of my session.. then I have to scroll and drag it all the way up into where I want it organized.. Sorta a drag, lol.

Don't get me wrong, it's otherwise, great!

I found somewhat of a work around - try inserting it into a new track, quickly using a keystroke to bring up the Track Manager, and drag and dropping the track from there, seems to be much faster as an alternative.

Hi

You can do it from project bay.

Create a custom action:

Track: Insert new track
Project bay: Insert items into project

Select a track that you want to insert below it.
Select media item in project bay
Use the action.

If you want to do it via media explorer do it this way:

Ctrl+T insert new track (inserts below the selected track)
RClick on media > Insert into project

Digging up this oldie.
IMHO: In Media Explorer, the The Action "Insert into Project" should be available in Reaper Action List > Media Explorer, so you could assign a keystroke to it.
