Default How many members test Pre-Releases?

Been curious how many members test/use pre-releases.
Vote to get counted if you test pre-releases.

I test every new pre-release (well almost).

NOTE: No is not a answer!
The poll is, "How many test?", NOT "Do you test?".

I do, but mostly RCs for documentation of new Reaper-features.

Sometimes I check new dev-Releases too, if there's an awesome new feature or something, that can cause problems in ReaScript-related stuff, so I can give feedback.

My usage is more musical so I don't come across bugs that easily but yes it is always exiting to see what's cooking !

Right now I'm only using pre-releases since they have cool exclusive features. Maybe this comes back to bite me in the ass one day, but yolo.

Given this poll is in the pre release forum it's gonna get the pre release tester bias on the numbers.
I usually check out new features that I have interest in.
Also if stuff gets changed that is gonna influence my work flow like takes across multi tracks etc

I used to install every new pre-release version from 2006 to about 2015. I now only record once a week my band's rehearsal and do a quick mix and Reaper does everything I need. I still read the pre-release forum and enjoy to see power-user discuss about new feature or bug report.

Last time I paid a Reaper license was in August 2011 (V4). I will be glad to pay my V6 upgrade. What a good deal!

This poll doesn't cover everything. I test pre-releases nowadays only when there is a new feature I want to test/give input on.

I used to always run with pre's, but I guess I have learned to work with what we have, so I prefer to do my work in the most stable environment available. Got burned once or twice using an abandoned feature in a project and not being able to continue with subsequent releases.

Thanks for mentioning that. I should probably switch to the stable version before it's too late.

Although I do enjoy the (almost) flicker free experience in the latest pre's.

It's very rare, but worth being aware of.

You forgot the option "Never". But I suppose the 3rd one is it.

I was only interested in how many members use/test the pre-releases, my guess was 100, count is 96ish, so I was very close!

Thanks to everyone who voted!

This poll might be weighed better in the main forum vs. this sub-forum.

I’ve only tested twice or three times, when there were major new features I’ve wanted. I do submit bug reports and FRs often and I check for new versions every couple of days or so.

why would "I've never tested a pre-release" not be an answer?

I use Pre-Releases fairly often, especially if I see something interesting. I do check them all the time, to see what's new.

I didn't vote because there was no option that fit.

I feel like I'm kinda stuck on pre-releases now, because I don't want to give up the improved graphics on Mac Retina.

Somebody nudge me when that makes it over to REAPER proper.

Occasionally, when a feature catches my eye because people are talking about it, or I happen to see it in the feature list (which is... difficult).
