Default VLC problem

So I'm updated to Reaper 6.0 (the newest version) 64bit. I just installed VLC 3.0 64 bit. Everything should be compatible there. Reaper doesn't find my VLC which installs itself wherever it wants but it didn't put itself in the regular program file. Under available decoder information Reaper says VLC install path not found and then search paths: Program files\Reaper(64x)\VLC. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling VLC but no luck. I think I need to reinstall VLC but some Control where it sets up or get reaper to look harder for VLC. any suggestions on how to do either of those things?

Default VLC problem

I searched my file folder and can't actually find the app, just a bunch of jpg and a few other data files in a directory path c:user\chnak\AppData\Local\Packages.

also tried running VlC before starting reaper.

Download the portable version of VLC and put it wherever you like.

IIRC, it wasn't very easy to find the 64-bit portable download on the videolan web page, but it is there somewhere.

EDIT: But I sure cannot find it there now...

Thanks for the help everyone. I tried reinstalling VLC again but this time I chose the button install outside of play store and it worked .
