Default Color complexities...

I have read some threads on here and spent a couple hours trying to figure this out without success.

Want to customize the backgrounds of media items, selected and unselected, as well as wave forms selected and unselected.

Through action list "theme tweak" script am able to change the wave forms, no problem. But can't change the media item backgrounds. I can change the unselected background by changing the track color, but not the selected background.

Theme adjuster on Version 6 is not granular enough to do this.

Is this something that needs to be changed in the code? Or is there another way?

Hi Dan,

Could you provide a mock-up to explain exactly what you are looking for?

Amongst the theme images there are two files:-

item_bg.png (un-selected item)

item_bg_sel.png (selected item)

You could have a go at tweaking those to see how it looks.

Any probs, let me know here and I will help further if I can.

cheers

andy

Where do I make these adjustments?

Want something that replicates the Audition look of black background/green waveform and then selected white background/darker green waveform.

Want to modify the default template rather than find an Audition knock-off.

Is this close enough:-

All done with the theme tweaker.

For some reason, although I chose white for the selected background colour it looks like light grey to me. I looked at various preference settings and even tried making the background image a solid white colour but that didn't help.

Oh, I forgot.

You will need to have a look at the settings in Preferences, Peaks/Waveforms > Custom colors. You may have to change the tint options.

Thank you for the effort.

I will give this another shot.

It is literally the edge of the peaks. In my example I made the peaks and the peak edges the same, but you can have the edges (or outlines if you like) a different colour.
