Default Cant hear MIDI tracks but level meter moves

I have superior drummer and when I grab a groove and drag it into my reaper midi track I can play it back and watch the level meter move but no sound, I can play back wave tracks just not MIDI what am I doing wrong???

Midi makes no sound on its own. You need to place a VST plugin (like Superior Drummer) on the track.

I do that I can see the midi code on the track I can see the level meter move with the drum beat but i cant hear it.

OK, if the track meters are showing the audio level but you cannot hear anything then the problem lies in the audio output.

Have you selected /enabled your audio interface in Reaper's Preferences >> Audio > Device? Are any faders turned down anywhere?

Can you play any other apps through the audio interface?

I would love to know what he did because I have the same exact problem. EZD plugged in. VU's showing all the correct activity, faders up, in fact - I have been working with this drum track for days and I tried to do one simple edit and now I have this dliemma.

Thoughts?
