Default FX Chain window question about checkboxes. (function the same on Linux and Win?)

basically, i was asking in another thread if there was a preference to stop the GUIs of plugins from changing when enabling and disabling FX via the checkboxes. A user said checking and unchecking the boxes does not switch to the GUI of the plugin. But on Linux (at least mine) apparently it does.

here's a better description:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread....19#post2585919

"is there a way to stop the FX chain window from changing the view to the plugin you are trying to enable/disable with the checkboxes on the left?

Sometimes you want to just quickly bypass an effect, and there may be no need to show the gui of the plugin that you're bypassing.

it's fine to switch GUI as you're clicking on the name of the plugin, but on the checkbox, shouldn't necessarily want to show the gui for the plug, especially if it's a fancy gui that needs to draw itself for a few hundred milliseconds. "

I experience the same behavior as you on Linux. I'm unaware of any settings to change this too. Maybe this warrants a bug report?
