Default Does not recognize my mini

Hi, I loaded my mini keyboard MasterKey 25, I enabled my mini. I can see it on the inputs of my track. However, I get zero sound from the mini when testing the keyboard.

Every time I do anything in Reaper this error window opens. I continue to close, how do I close this window for good to stop opening? My mini is not on this list. See Attachment

Also, I test my mini output, no sound. Don't I have to give the track a sound like VST?

Welcome to the Reaper Forums!

In case you haven't already found them, make sure to check out the User Guide (https://www.reaper.fm/userguide.php) and Videos section (https://www.reaper.fm/videos.php) in general. Lots of useful info there.

You can click on the Do not show this window again checkbox (at the bottom left) in the popup window before closing it.

Yes. You'll need load a VST instrument onto the Track in order to produce any sound from the incoming MIDI.

You can do this for instance by using the Insert > Virtual instrument on new Track menu which sets up some Track settings automatically (Record Arm + Input Monitoring button enabled, MIDI Channel set to 'All inputs').

Thanks, solger, I closed the error window. I also place an instrument in the track.

However, there is still NO SOUND from the min keyboard.

Which instrument did you place on the Track (what's the name)?
And can you please also post another screenshot of your current Track setup.

In addition to my previous post:

Which Audio Device are you using (model name)?
And is the Audio Device already set up correctly in Reaper's Preferences? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3W1NowUFA4

Default Audio Device

I when thru the video before this posting and I had everything set up. However, after you ask about the Audio device.

In addition to my previous post:

Which Audio Device are you using (model name)?
And is the Audio Device already set up correctly in Reaper's Preferences? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3W1NowUFA4

Now the inputs do not show up and I get an error message regarding.

How do I get this audio Device to load properly?

Some things to check in general:
  • Does selecting a different Audio System (than ASIO) first and then switching the selection back to ASIO make any difference?
  • Is using Audio System: WASAPI (instead of ASIO) working?
  • Have you already tried disconnecting & reconnecting the Audiobox (before launching Reaper)?
  • Are there perhaps any other applications (besides Reaper) running in the background which might be already using and/or blocking access to the Audiobox ASIO driver?
  • Does rebooting the computer and then launching just Reaper (without any other applications open in the background) make any difference?
  • Maybe also check the USB port power settings, just in case. More info in chapter 4.5.2 (USB Ports Power Settings): https://support.native-instruments.c...dio-Processing

If the problem persists, try to reinstall the AudioBox ASIO drivers or check if there are perhaps any driver updates available for it.
