Default global SOLO and MUTE buttons

it´s very commom to solo just spare tracks like - 1, 5, 11 and 22 but when you want to de-solo them all, you need to click one by one.

a global solo/mute buttons, as seen in cubendo, would be really nice here

ah! and there´s another one that could be very handy -> hide all automation

it´s currently not possible to switch to "not visible" with just one click for all parameters

I was shoked to know Reaper still doesn`t have this simple feature.
I will return to Studio One only because of that.

This thread is about 11 years old. How about checking the action list yourself?

There's "Track: Unsolo all tracks", same for Mute.
Put buttons for those 2 actions in the docker, done.

I used this option, but it's not exactly what I want. In Cubase, anytime you've got a soloed track, you see a "global icon" letting you know that you've got something soloed, then if you click on that icon you can unsolo everything with just one click. My problem is that with the "Track: Unsolo all tracks" option, I cannot know if there's something soloed or muted, just like in Cubase, U know what I mean?

If I understand correctly, the SWS extension actions

SWS: Toolbar solo toggle
SWS: Toolbar mute toggle

do exactly this when assigned to a toolbar button. The buttons are lit as soon as at least one track is soloed (muted) and hitting them toggles between all tracks unsoloed (unmuted) and back to the original state (the previously soloed/muted tracks are soloed/muted again).

There's also "SWS: Toolbar arm toggle" to do the same with record arming and "SWS/S&M: Toolbar track envelopes in touch/latch/write mode toggle" for track envelopes (it toggles between the modes mentioned in the name and read mode when used)

Wonder why nobody mentions that unsoloing/unmuting group master affects slave tracks which had solo/mute enabled before solo/mute has been engaged on master track.

+1 it is still relevant.

Now I use the SWS scripts for this, but they have a big drawback: if the project has plugins with a big latency (Linear EQ, Pitch Shifters, etc), the response of the M/S/R buttons is sooooo slow.

+1 too

This is actually the only thing I miss from my Cubase-days and is sorely missed in native.
It also always shows you, if any track is muted/soloed which is very helpful for dozens of tracks and supercompacted ones.
Cubase also shows, whether any envelope is still set to write and clicking that button turns that off for all tracks.
I always loved that!
