You can already hide the main toolbar by loading nothing in it.

I find it useful to toggle different windows, though.

Yes, it can be useful. Well, we can do it like with address bar in a browser on smartphone. Hide it, when you go down and show, if you scroll up.

hmm, time line is needed and regions and markers should be fixed has is. IMO

Like other users I rarely use markers/regions/signatures so it is mostly just a black bar above the timeline. Would be nice to be able to toggle its view on/off as an option so when you don't need it you can switch it off and as soon as you want to add a region or so you switch it on. I'd be fine also with an automatic solution, like it is off at the start of a project and as soon as you insert the first marker it expands.
