"Awakening" A new track of mine
V2: https://soundcloud.com/opisisland/awakening-v2
Supposed to make you feel happy. Did i do my job?
Also any critiques would be cool
Most of the sounds were created with zebra 2 and z3ta +. I played the guitar and keys. The rest is all drawn in.

Mission accomplished, but I hear just a slight bit of cloudiness in the lows. Just a bit. Seems the mix could be just a tad clearer--and I'm talking a small amount. Your kicks are always awesome.

cool Sammydix. Hmm the bass does seem pretty full. Maybe some cuts around 200 will do. Not at the computer right now but will try once i get to it.
Regarding kicks, I do take a bit of time on them so thank you

yeah, the bass could use some refinement in the eq dept. but it sounds very good. and are you ducking the bass with the bass drum (side chaining)?

Yep there is some side chaining going on. The kick isnt triggering the compressor though. A saw wave is.

So this is 'house'? Some day I'll get up to speed on all the genre sub-groups (house, trance, club, hiphop, dubstep, defwhump, jitter, whooza, etc...)
As your song went along, I felt the acoustic guitar(s?) were quite 'shy'; maybe they secretly hope to get more limelight?
I like the middle-section's softer contrast. For me the drums and bass were fine, but I have a lot to learn about EQ'ing/compressing.
2 thumbs-up + both pinkys

Thanks for listening guys.
@gandsnut
Yep. This is considered house. Tropical house to be exact. I would like to think i put enough spin on it so its not so cookie cutter. A bit of my own invention in terms of guitar level, the lead plucks won the battle in the end. I couldnt have both in the lime light so i kinda had to choose. The hardest thing about playing guitar for 10 years and making electronic music is the fact that you have to keep it simple and i cant always be the star haha
@smajjl
Well then it must make you feel good! I make music to cheer myself up aswell lol idk how many time ive tried to make dark stuff... never really turned out
Oh yeah i almost forgot...
Have a great day smajjl

@OPI - Human Being With Feelings.
Yes OPI it did.
I must admit that I have not listened to Thunderdome in a loooong time and I like/need variation with-in my "genre of tolerance/enjoyment taste thing" and your stuff is, and i'm starting to dislike that word, sounds limiting, but yeah.
Was also little "serious" about that this kind of vibe choice would be perfect if I, needed music for a blog channel with drones and lovely scenes like my specific example.
But if we change the blog channel a little bit to this, then suddenly I, think, this, would be perfect if that was what you did. (says me..)

So, just something like that I mean and I could go on into Death Metal and cover all genres maby but, zzz!.
So anyway, nice job!
WoOOoah! thank you very much OPI and ditto please.

Like it a lot. I'm not a house person and I don't mind what you want to call it. It has that typical rythmic walk on an RTA that I adore.
