Default Stop windows from switching soundcards?

Is there any way to keep windows from switching soundcards when you plug a USB card in? I just want it to keep using the one that I have set (in this case i want my RME to stay as the default windows device even when I turn on or off my Helix)

Without disabling the actual driver hopefully, as I think it also controls the MIDI I/O

When you installed that USB card, did you see any kind of prompt or checkbox to make it the default device? It's not uncommon for a newly installed device to make itself the default, but you should be able to go into the Windows settings and change it back.
