Default Window to display the name of the Last Touched Parameter?

For all I know this exists....but I've been wishing for a little window that would simply show the name of the last touched parameter.

So when you click on a parameter, it updates the window. Click on another parameter, the window changes. etc.

Does this even exist?

I don't know if it already exists, but it is scriptable. I experimented with exactly this some time ago. Maybe some of the real script gurus can put something together quickly, otherwise I could revisit that code and see if I can come up with something useful.

Thanks Fabian, if it doesn't exist I'll look into it as well. I'm no code guru but can hack and slash my way to a messy solution ; ) If you find your code and it works, please feel free to share...

Thanks for this.

It is no fault of Edgemeal's, of course, but I find it a bit annoying that Reaper regards Last Touched FX as a global property, and not project-local. I don't really understand why that is.

And this was where I ended my experiments, when I realized that I would have to cycle through all open projects (and I typically have 8-12 project tabs open) to find the project where the Last Touched FX is. It is not impossible to do, of course, it just annoyed me that each project does not have its own, which makes knowledge of the Last Touched FX less useful.

Maybe we should post a feature request for this, to have Last Touched FX specific for each project.

I agree that should be the case.

Hmm, that is interesting (but unfortunate) find.
It should be per-project (or tab) in multi-tab enabled environment (which Reaper is) for sure.
