LBX Stripper User Share
Hi Reaper Forum,
For those of you that have been enjoying Leon's great LBX Stripper script, I thought I'd open a user share post to start connecting other LBX stripper users.
I'll be posting my custom LBX Stripper pages along with the associated action list exports.
It would be really great to have other users start posting their custom pages, image file and icons that have been created for LBX and/or action list exports.
Cheers
SRD

Missed this one - Thanks SRD - perhaps needs mentioning on the Stripper thread too.
I have a few I probably need to finalize before sharing but will definitely add them soon.
In the meantime - I will jump in with some that ThrashJazzAssassin and Timbralzoom came up with earlier:
Timbral's Surrogate Link: http://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php...postcount=1714
Timbral's Stack Strips: https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...postcount=4922
ThrashJazzAssassin's shared strip files: https://github.com/ThrashJazzAssassin/LBX-Strips
For info:
To import a sharestrip into Stripper - go into STRIP edit mode (shortcut S) - then highlight the strip folder (upper list in left sidebar) you wish to import the strip file into. Finally - right-click anywhere in the strip list (lower list in left sidebar) and choose Import Share Strip file option. Then simply navigate to and select the sharestrip that you downloaded. Obviously you will require any plugins that are used in the strip. I will highlight those that are free and those that are commercial for any of my own share strips.

Here are a few of my offerings.
https://github.com/L-B-X/LBXStripper...Share%20Strips
Currently a strip for Airwindows fantastically smooth saturation and distortion plugin Spiral. This uses PurestGain before and afterwards to easily adjust the saturation amount without drastically changing the volume. EDIT: Airwindows plugins are free but Patreon supported - and fully worth supporting as Chris provides some amazing building blocks perfect for mixing and also building interesting plugin chains (of which Stripper is perfect for controlling).
Also is the Spiral Distort (with Diff) version - this additionally provides a switch to hear just the distortion being added (roughly) - simply using phase invert on an unprocessed version of the audio. Was kind of an experiment that turned out well
The other two are for commercial plugins:
TDR SlickEQ Mastering edition
Plugin Alliance VSM3
Hope they might be useful to someone
Please let me know of any bugs or problems. I cannot remember if the commercial ones were made with VST3 or VST2 versions.

Sorry to go off-topic already, but after you mentioned that Spiral plugin I played with it for hours. Just putting +18dB 20-100hz sine waves through it, tweaking with the gain and watching it on an oscilliloscope. It's a really nice wave folder, but bit different from any I've heard before. It seems to create more folds as the amplitude is increased, whereas most others have a set amount of folds which get kind of more 'squashed' as the amplitude increases.
EDIT: Good idea with the forum thread btw

i was very curious about airwindows plugins and decided to test. Some of them their Gui has no parameters. example: spiral. Nothing. Am i missing something?

You're not missing anything. Some plugins are just minimal and simply do their thing -however subtle. Some things just require gain staging through them - which I've made easier with the spiral strip.

Big interesting thread over on GS about Spiral here: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-...ux-au-vst.html
I personally don't know much about the algorithms behind these things - but I do like the sound
But yeah - lets try not to clutter this thread too much with things not directly Stripper Strips related - although this is related to one of my strips - so not hugely off topic

ahh cool! very subtil some! : )
out of topic, but gain staging , equals increasing volume before those plugins?

Yeah - gain staging refers to adjusting the volume into a plugin (and also other plugins in the chain). Some plugins (Nebula as an example) have quite specific gain requirements to get the best results out of them.
For Spiral - driving the volume into it increases the amount of saturation/distortion you'll get out of it. But that also means you get more volume out - So the big knob on my spiral strip simply changes the volume into Spiral, and exactly reverses the amount out of it - in order to add saturation/distortion without drastically affecting the volume (which helps to properly hear what the plugin is adding).

Functionality always trumps aesthetics in my book
Some things are still a little fiddly to position nicely. I find reducing the grid size in settings to maybe 8 helps (although the grid is not visible at this size). Also - mousewheel helps when moving control names/values in the CTL OPTIONS.
Shift + arrow keys will also move selected controls pixel by pixel in EDIT mode.

Can you think of any way to host the ReaTune tuner window and the Big Tempo window inside the stripper window?

This discussion is probably best in the main Stripper thread - not this one which is for sharing user created strips.
But in answer to your question - it's not possible - as ReaTune does not expose the readings as parameters. If there was an equivalent VST that did - or a JSFX - then it would be possible. EDIT: The schmitt-triggering tuner JSFX can be used within stripper - but no idea how accurate it is compared to ReaTune.

Don't bother. It's next to useless. I've not found a tuner that presents it's value to the host and I've tried a lot of the free ones. Please anybody share if you find one.

I did so with several sharestrip files but so far no luck... they don't get added when I click on "open".

You're importing 1 at a time ?
Does a window appear with a load of info in it? Or a pop up dialog appear ?
If not - try downloading the sharestrip files again - as RAW maybe?

Absolutely nothing happens, it simply closes the window. I tried downloading the raw and reinstalling LBXS but it doesn't make any difference.
I am on MacOS if that makes any difference.

It shouldn't - but I guess most people I think are on windows.
If you can PM me your email - I'll send you a special version of the script that will output some debug information - which can help us try to identify what is not working.

How do you use this? Or how can I put a new png stack into stripper? Is there anywhere special it needs to go or be named?

The image and .knb files go in \Scripts\LBX\LBXCS_resources\controls

Does the tool you made take png stacks or single pngs? I dropped a stack on there and it didnt seem to like it.
So this tool makes the knb file?

Just to post that working with Swiiscompos, I have fixed a few issues that caused the script not to work properly on MacOS.
Not having a Mac myself - I had no idea - but the bugs would have prevented loading any data correctly - so working with projects and loading saved strips or importing sharestrips all would have failed. So pretty much useless on Mac (and for quite some time - probably at least a year it's been like this).
So thanks to Swiiscompos - it should all be working much better now if you have a Mac.
So Mac users should ensure they install and use any version from:

Thanks you everyone for the contributions.
I'm doing an overhaul of my LBX template and as soon as it's done I'll post.
Leon and I have been working on this together for about a year on my template and he's streamlined the interface into Reaper so well. It's saved years off my life and I can't thank him enough. If you feel the same way, I'm sure he wouldn't mind a donation via his donation link: https://www.paypal.me/nebsound/
Also check out some of his other devious creations:
LBX Floating FX Positioner
https://github.com/L-B-X/Reaper-Scripts/
Super useful for floating your FX into the same position every time. I use it on my touch screen.
LBX SRD Smart Knobs:
https://github.com/L-B-X/LBX-SRD-Smart-Knobs/
Leon and I worked on this one together (mostly his programing genius) I use it to automatically assign CC numbers to my favorit plugs so that my midi controller knobs always line up. The script also acts as as scribble strip so you can see which plugin control is assigned to which CC knob or fader.

Ok, I made a strip for Geist1
Geist TJA.sharestrip available at https://github.com/ThrashJazzAssassin/LBX-Strips
First you should download 'MIDI Geist2 Pattern Selectors' from the JSFX folder and put it in /Effects. It's compatible with Geist1 and Geist2
EDIT: sigh, Looks like Geist internal host bindings are not saved with the strip. I've added a .geistbinding file to go with the strip. Only 32 host params available :/

Haha - those Erks are never supposed to show up - so somethings not quite right...
Basically - the Erk means somethings gone wrong - but I can't remember what. When I get a moment I'll try importing the sharestrip file myself and see what's going on...
Did the strip appear to work - even with the Erks?
