i love my theme now, but i would love to have real buttons down the side of the fader and along the edit view, this is really bad but something like in fader 2 you see here with the proper labeling of what each button does etc

There's a couple ways to do this...

1. There's an option in "appearences" at the top "Always display button borders"...

2. or under "Color Theme" near the top "Theme overrides button backgrounds with color settings in list (forces button borders)"... this was used in the "winamp" theme, for example

3. To create an icon to look like a button, you will need to be able to open/save to windows ICO format. I'm not sure if Fireworks supports that format, but all the icons for each theme are located in folders with the "ColorThemes" folder in you RREAPER directory. The faders are BMP format, so those should be easy (just note the pure megenta renders transparent)

For icon creation/editing:

Personally I use photoshop with a free ICO extension.

Several people use the free program GIMP which is very powerful, and has built-in ICO support.

There are several more freeware programs out there which san either edit or convert between file formats. I'm not familiar with any of these programs, but surely someone will chime in herer....
