I think even though we now have an embeddable jsfx loudness meter, it would be great to have LUFS-M directly on the track meters.
Imagine being able to globally switch the track meters between pre-fader peak, post-fader peak, pre-fader LUFS-M and post-fader LUFS-M. With the ability - similar to the Master meter - to set an offset for LUFS-M so you can define a target and effectively increase the resolution. This would make a big difference in workflow for all those people who - like me - judge their levels in the mix mainly by LUFS/LU and ears.
An embedded JSFX loudness meter is great (really!), but it doesn't fix the following two problems:
1. you have to constantly rearrange inserts on all tracks.
2. it provides (embedded) very low metering resolution, which is not helpful in the mix when most signals are in the range below -20 LUFS.
At least these are my thoughts. And I know I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
