Default Audio apps doesn't work when Reaper is running

Hi,

I had a M-Audio USB Interface and a Windows 10 PC for long time and I always had been able to running several audio apps together with Reaper, like iTunes, Windows Media Player, Chrome/Youtube, Winamp, etc.

Today I changed the interface for a new SSL-2+, keep the same computer and OS, but now no other sound application works at the same time as Reaper

What I need to do ? Thanks any help!

Try Reaper at 48k sample rate. Or if there are multiple pairs of ASIO outputs available, set Reaper to 3&4, letting the OS default to 1&2

When you are trying to run another audio app same time as Reaper is record enabled on any tracks? If yes, try disabling record and see if you can now hear youtube etc.
Also, can you see something about releasing the audio device in the background in your audio settings window in "options"?

Yes, the record track is enable, but I need it cause I play guitar through a plug in (Amplitube) at the same time that I hear songs in Youtube or iTunes. And before I change the interface it use to worked

Please, I didn't find this "audio settings" window in "options", where it is ?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!
I hate to say this, but it sounds like you have not yet downloaded and used either the free User Guide or watched any of the free video tutorials at reaper.fm.
I would also recommend you to get hold of the e-booklet Glitch Free and read that, too.

P.S. Glad to see you have got it all sorted, but I still recommend that you do a little self - schooling on the basics.
