Any Kontakt users? I`ve got a problem...
I`m not sure if it`s the pure Reaper issue, but who knows...
Ok, I want a written midi pattern to be amplified by Kontakt. When I use its piano roll, Reaper`s piano roll, external midi controllers, that`s ok, everywhere I hear Kontakt`s sound. But it refuses to make any sound when just playing that midi pattern. I` ve checked, when I select any note of that pattern within reaper`s piano roll they all sound by preview, and other VSTi`s sound during playing... But not Kontakt. Is there any solution?

Did you turn on the Monitor widget button on the track with Kontakt on it?
The send track also has to be record enalbled:

Have you already checked in Kontakt, if the MIDI-channel of the instrument ('MIDI CH' in the instrument header) is set up correctly ?

On another site I`ve just been advised to switch to Omni channel, don`t know what exactly that channel is but works)
Thanx to all anyway for digging into my issue!

In contrast to responding to a specific MIDI channel like 'MIDI CH: [A] 1' (= Port A -> MIDI channel 1 ), OMNI makes the instrument respond to (incoming) MIDI data on any MIDI-channel.

solger's right and the biggest problem with doing it that way is that you can only have one instrument loaded into Kontakt at a time unless you want them to all play from the same midi track.

Oh, I see...For now I use a standalone vsti Kontakt on every track I need, and one instrument per track is enough
