Track grouping Folders not properly panning individual tracks
My panning works perfectly when the same tracks are outside a given folder, however whenever they are in a folder, the tracks wont pan hard left or right. If I pan them hard right within the folder, there's no sound at all. If I pan them hard left the stay in the center.
It's not my monitors, or headphones, the tracks worked fine outside a folder.
This doesn't happen to one particular folder, but any and all folders.
Any ideas?

Can you take a screenshot of your folder track with its routing window? Upload it here: https://stash.reaper.fm/ and post the forum code so we can see it. Sounds like somehow your folder tracks have only one channel. How exactly are you creating the folder tracks?

Yea, sorry i didn't mean the routing matrix, I meant the routing window that opens when you click where the mouse is sitting.
I can actually reproduce this problem if the folder has 2 channels and I set the child track to parent channels 2-3 (in the routing window). Then only channel 2 makes it to the parent since 3 doesn't exist there. Does that help at all?
Only your battery track should have more than 2 output channels unless you're doing some sidechaining or something like that.

upload your project file (don't need any media, just the .rpp) to the stash and i'll take a look. you could also do a portable install to see if the problem is related to your config.

Have you got some hardware routing on the "Lead vox" outer folder?
(I ask because I've done that...)

I ended up just moving the tracks out of the folder and making a new parent track which has been working well. However, I hope it doesn't happen again when I'm tracking with someone
I can't really show you the .rpp since I already had it saved without the problem parent track. Next time I'll be sure to hit you up. Thanks for the help

This will happen if you have a mono plugin on the folders.
