Default Reaper overload cut off setting?

Reaper has this cutt off when you go over certain DB. I think it's set to +3db. I saw the setting once but now I can't find. Anyone know where it is in prefs maybe?
I got this plugin I like but sometimes it pops like crazy for what ever reason. Reaper sometimes catches it and cuts off but not always. When it goes through, my speaker cones pop out like mad. Not a good thing. So I want to try to set it to 0db if it'll help. Limiters work to some extend but don't lower the signal low enough.

Limiters are usually too slow to catch real fast pops. You need something more like a hard clipper. JS Volume Adjustment has the Maximum Volume parameter that does it quite well. But then, it's getting clipped to 0dbFS before it gets to your speakers anyway, so even that may not really help.

I personally hate automute, but to each their own, I guess.

Thanks. Setting cut off lower doesn't work, the JS volume neither. Probably simplest way is to find another plugin and not risk blowing speakers.

If your monitor speakers are at risk of actually exploding from anything that can come out of your interface, then they're under-specified for the SPL levels you're trying to acheive.
