Track not recording after arming it.

-new track
-arm it, (I see the microphone panel moving to my voice)
-I click record and get an error message, will not record

"REAPER recording error
Can't write to recording files, does the directory exist?"

Using a MacBook Pro, running OSX High Sierra 10.13.13
Reaper version v5.22/i386 rev 582373 (July 14, 2016)

Check the path the file is being recorded to, it either doesn't exist or Reaper doesn't have permissions to write there.

Look at the media tab in your project settings (Alt-Enter) and check that the "Path to save media files" is set to a valid, accessible file path on your system.

You might also check Options, Preferences, General, Paths and ensure that the Default Recording Path is set to a valid, accessible path too

Thank you. I was trying to default save to Dropbox. I created a folder on my desktop and everything will save to that. It's working now. MUCH appreciate the help.
