MIDI item & note - pitch problem

Hi,

I have a weird problem since, 5.70 I think.
The problem is that when I pitch down or up a MIDI note in a MIDI item, the next MIDI item, does not resets it's pitch value and it preserves the same value from the previous MIDI item.

Take a look at the screenshot.

Is there any setting that manages this problem?

That is the expected behaviour, the last pitch value is carried over to the next MIDI item. To avoid that you would need to add a Pitch value of 0 (8192) to the start of the second item (or the end of the first).

This is actually the expected behavior. REAPER chases CC values in each track, so that each item can smoothly continue with the CC values of the previous item.

This issue is currently also being discussed in the thread Slow workflow Pitch bend automation and midi takes, where a few workarounds are offered.

You can use the script in that thread to quickly insert pitch reset events into selected MIDI items.
