How to set bitrate with H.264 codec
Hi,
My client wants me to render a video with H.264 at a specific bitrate. I only see a percentage when I choose H.264. How do I set the bitrate without changing the codec? Thanks a lot in advance. |

well try to render a small portion of the video and look at the properties if you are near the required bitrate - trial and error.

Yeah, the bitrate depends on the frame rate and resolution and color depth and what-not. Trial and error is probably the only way to go.

Suggestion: render to high quality/bitrate in Reaper then use a tool like Handbrake to encode with a CBR at the desired rate.
