What’s up with the new version ? I’m getting massive audio dropouts by the second I trigger automatic record arm (I did check buffer size and sample rate, and reproduced the same session in ableton without a glitch).
Also, since version 6.10, Reaper keeps prompting me to save the project file, well after the session’s been saved…
the first part is from not having a valid folder set for the autobackups. maybe you imported your settings from another system?
second part, do you have a sample rate set in project settings? Its good to make sure the project and device are set to the same rate so that virtual instruments load the correct samples and/or aren't resampling.
audio device is set to 512 samples, is that the built-in sound on the mac?

Ok, I see the thing with the backups, thanks for the tip.
As for the sound engine: found it ! As it turned out, the issue wasn't coming from Reaper (duh!).
The problem came when the Lié (it's a VST*wrapper for expressive E's sounds) was trying to load AUs instead of VSTs. I switched it and it solved the problem.
