Default Cannot save audio...

Hey folks,

A client of mine likes reaper but uses a Mac. (I'm a PC guy, usually).

Anyway, every time we record, it all looks great.
We hear it, and see it recording on the track.

Then as soon as we press stop to save the files that have been recorded, an error message pops up saying something to the effect that the audio cannot be saved or unable to save audio or something.

If you need more specifics I will get them.

Thanks.

maybe you're trying to save to a folder that is "read only", or maybe the HD is full. do you have the exact error message?

Can you see which folder Reaper is trying to write to?

Can you create any file in that folder (not using Reaper)?

Check the file/folder access permisisons for the Mac

I think I recall someone else had a similar problem when the file/drive selected to save the recording did not exist. Check the media and Project file location for the project.

The write to folder was the first thing I did and I used the folder he used to use for Cubase.

It might be worth another shot. I'll try saving something else to the folder and also try a few different folders.

Make sure the path and/or the filename doesn't contain any special characters (å,ä,ö, probably a bunch more), using any of those can create strange problems under macos.
