Default Problem Locating Plugins After Upgrade to 6

Yesterday I saved a session. When I opened it today, I got a "Project Load Warning" stating "The following effects were in the projec file and are not available. REAPER will keep their configuration but things may not sound as desired".

Then it proceeded to list 4 tracks with issues such as....

"Track 4: VST3:RChannel Stereo (Waves)"

I'm not sure how to resolve this.

If you open reaper and the project multiple times do you get the same message. I had that happen in v5 a few times and restarting reaper fixed it.

No. I've closed and opened reaper and that project at least 6 times and still the same.

Are ALL your VST3 plugins missing, perhaps (check the FX browser)? The error indicates that it's loading a VST3...

When you install Reaper 6 over top of Reaper 5, assuming you didn't do anything goofy on your own, it should have kept your plugins paths intact, but I'd verify anyways. VST3 files always get installed in C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins , so make sure that is in your plugins path in Preferences. On top of that, try moving it around in that plugins path setting too (meaning, if it's at the end, move it to the beginning or vice versa). I say that because I know if I have a plugin that has a 32 bit file and a 64 bit file that have the same name, one won't show, depending on how I order the plugins path folders.

Waves plugins are also a bit annoying (to me, anyways) as they build these wavesshell dll files, and those need to be installed in the paths you're referencing in the plugins path setting. Don't move these around either.
