I'm loving the look of this. Nice, neutral, and easy on the eyes is ALWAYS the way to go. Good Job.

The mixer looks really good!
It'd be nice to get the TCP on par with it.
The TCP feels a bit disjointed regarding the relative alignment between buttons/meters/button spacing/fader size etc.
The mixer is great.

My god, that mixer is perfect. Just the pan sliders would be much more easier if like LCD bars or a bar on a LED display and only the volume to stay a slide fader.

Just found it after a search. Is there any link that discribes all the features of the rtconfigfile? Or are they just all there in the file?
(I would like to get rid of that '-inf' at the top of each VUbar.. Or give it a bit of a color or something..)
..curious about your FXparameters..

I Love It!
It's perfect just as it is ... Others may weigh in with some suggested changes but it looks awfully good to me. ... Can't wait!

really ortseam,
that theme is really gorgeous!
only one thing: imo the fader-handles are a bit too big,on the mixer aswell as on the mainwindow ... that`s all, imo ...
maybe have a look at ths screensot: the fader-handels look perfect there, also the "rail" they`re in ... just a hint ... here:

Man, that looks so great. Reminds me of Logic on pc back then.
I like the big pan faders. The VU's flipped looks interesting. Would like to see that in action.
The send knobs with that background do look soooooo good!
Thanx a lot for doing this!

When you release this, I think this is going to be my default 100% use theme hands down. After looking at what you're doing, I don't need anything else but this. So simple, yet so amazing and effective.

Been looking at this a little more, and I don't know what everyone else thinks or how they work... but my one suggestion would be to perhaps look at differentiating the I/O icon a little from the others (it's used a lot and they are all very close to one another). Perhaps by giving it some colour? Other themes are guilty of this too - IMO it needs to stand out from the other icons in that block, both on the mixer and the TCP.
In other words, the only point of difference between the I/O and the FX and automation icon at the moment is the lettering. It would be ergonomically benefical I think if it could be a different colour? If I really wanted to push it... ... my head always thinks an 'R' for routing actually makes more sense and is clearer, but I'm sure others disagree
Anyway, keep at it - the theme seems to be pure class. What REAPER really needs!
Ben

I'm very impressed with that theme! This is the first one that could beat the standart-theme in optic and usability.
great work!
Only thing i don't like that much is the background of the peak-meters

I think he was trying to say what happened when he saw your theme.
So unless I'm mistaken, it was a compliment, even though at first it seemed out of place!

As a watcher of this thread I'm just have to add a few +1's
The mixer is beautiful. Version 3 brought a whole lot more for themers to do, so I understand why it takes so long. As soon as you get it out we will all beta test it and help.
Great stuff.

Although with the Inkscape Theme Template it takes a lot less time than before.

yeah, it was this, a response to your mixer image - I was alluding to the fact that it is so good I had an extreme love reaction - was a bit tipsy when i posted it.

Artworking itself is what really takes my time (since I'm an amateur in GUI design). The ease of technical manipulations is't so significant in comparison.

Sorry it looks like you gave the location of the rtconfig.txt, but I still can't find it (even with a search)
