Sure, it can be usefull.
But, maybe it's a good idea to put lyrics and marker-list in top-right menu then?

Another FR:
(Warning, I'm shuffling a lot of ideas)
1) When scrolling down a long track-list,
typically 40+ tracks,
it's a long way to transport
Could transport be fixed on top?
(see html fixed property)
2) Could there be a visual indication of folder-structure?
(Grey line x indent-placement)

Bug:
When tapping the menu, it's no way to close it without clicking something else.

Just click/tap on menu icon again :-)
I can insert a 'Close' item as well if better.

Version 2.2 is ready for the download with the following new features:
- A warning pop-up message is displayed when tapping on REC button and zero or more than one track are armed
- For safety reasons you'll be warned when tapping the 'Unmute all' button. In order to protect your hearing you'll be asked to confirm the function.
- Transport buttons and Time window are blocked in their position during the scroll. Very useful in case of many tracks
- Lyrics and Marker List pages links were moved into the top right menu. The first top buttons are now Go to Previous marker, Goto Next marker and Add Marker.
- The Rec butto changes accordingly to the Rec mode (normal, time punch, item punch)
- Several 'hidden' software optimizations
A big THANK YOU to G-Sun for his features advice!
|
Thank you very much!
This is making the interface better and better
A few notes:
Quote:

|
The reason for my FR was not hearing-protection,
but avoiding creating a mess. I'd typically use many tracks for sketching, previous takes and this and that, now muted. Unmute all would need me to go through all tracks again before continuing recording.
But yes, hearing protection could be a bonus.

Having more than 1 track armed is a rather typical scenario. Not sure a warning is appropriate here.
However, a visual of #tracks armed is very good

I found an issue in the Track Inspect view with the version I uploaded yesterday.
If you already have downloaded it please do it again.
You can copy the main file only (WebRemoteInterface.html)

Bug with region list (select)
When I double click the first region it goes to 0:00.000 that's good.
when I double click the second item witch it shows as 12:02.00 reaper goes to
32:25.312 and not (12:02.00)
when I double click the 3,4,5 ... any other item it jumps to 8760:00:00.00
my project ends at 1:24:00.000
In the interface the numbers are good but reaper does not jump to the right place.
By the way I really like your interface.

I didn't notice before now that there's actually a peak-meter on each track. That is pure awesome.
When in the boot alone, I need a visual for gain-staging,
and a meter on the web-interface is just what I need.
Now, if I could only get it a little bigger,
eg. on expanded track view.
Another small thing: Custom buttons have space for two lines of text here, but is just showing one.
I must say, after all these improvements the Advanced Web Browser Interface is just taking care of all my needs. Thank you!

Hi Al
yes this is a known issue and it happens if you set the ruler to show beat & measures.
Please try to show the time only. I am talking about the ruler only. No problem in showing beat & measure in the normal time window.
Unfortunately this is an API issue I cannot fix from my side.

Love this interface. It's full screen for mobile phones and particularly that you can see the record state! It's very confusing when you don't have that indicator. Nice work

Hi godly. Nice to know you like it :-)
The web interface can only show what is available from the interface API from Reaper. At the moment is not possible to get what you are looking from from there... sorry.

Actually it is possible:

I made this for a potential client but I'm waiting for an answer from his part before making it public :/

Maybe my browser is very strict about https issue (Firefox last version, with some protection plugin like adblockers and web trackers prevention). ^^

Whose certificate doesn't Firefox like?
You might want to take a look at the Brave browser. Ad blocking built-in. Chromium based. And they're trying to launch a system to pay the user for watching ads, with the choice to donate the money to the site showing the ads.

I'm very happy with FIrefox, I have a tons of very specific plugin on it :P Plus, I like the foundation work. But this is completly off topic ^^ Maybe it is just a setting from my part if you all have it right.

@Flavio
As if having a remote web browser interface in REAPER wasn't enough in the first place, you've picked it up and hit it straight out of the ballpark... Just an absolutely awesome job on this GUI, it's totally amazing.
Remote metering and peak monitoring are things I've been looking for, and the myriad of other controls are major icing on the cake. You've totally spoiled me... When I record drums now in my home studio, no more running back and forth from behind my kit.
Have you thought about submitting this to the REAPER developers? It blows any other interface I've ever seen completely away.
Thanks so much, and keep up the GREAT work!

WOW This is amazing work thank you so much Flavio! One small problem I'm having is that when I go into the lyrics page, I can't leave it. Clicking "Leave Lyrics" in the menu does nothing. Doubleclicking selects it like it's just a word. Any insight there? 100% satisfied even if you can't fix that.
On iphone 5. Works fine in my computer's browser. Clicking the close the marker page works on the phone though...wait no it doesn't. It used to.
NEVERMIND its because I saved the page to the home screen. Won't work then because it requires being opened from the browser and having 2 pages.
