I could see the page but it took a couple of seconds longer than usual.
You could have caught the page when it was busy. Try again maybe?

Some plugins are buggy in Reaper. I tried buggy mode and separate process, no good.
They mute the track due to some spike i guess.
List of plugins that i tried with this behaviour:
Kolin , OSS, Rare and RareSE,TREQ, Varimoo and Yala.
I tried the VST 2 versions, same..

Can you please confirm ?

PS: tried on a different daw and works OK.

I only did a quick connection test. Didn't download anything.
I already have a bunch of vst and vsti if i don't stop downloading and start using them it's all pointless.

Now, back to learning Reaper and hopefully produce some music.

I AM going to give them a try, simply because of all the weird stuff posted BY and ABOUT the prime mover of AO... I will be very careful when trying them, though...

Just downloaded 4 of his compressors, all of which I have other versions of. Be interesting to see how they compare.

Default Watchout Virus

AO's site has been hacked some plugins come with trojan horse.
Especially 32bits and some 64bits.

https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewt...40139&start=30

Tunca is working with his ISP to solve the problem and will upload new links shortly.

I'll take a look but so far the free ones have been pretty buggy with Reaper. And some do that thing where it won't let you set routing pin left only, which is how I'd normally get around a mono-only plug.

They are hit or miss definitly. Not sure it's worth it at this point.

Hi,

First of all, i'm on Patreon, now.

About bugs, they will be fixed, soon.

But, i'm facing hard times at the moment.

Now, uploading clean files to my own pcloud server. Dropped 32Bit support for future development.

I'm uploading plugins according to my upload speed...

BlackShow, HLQSE, Kolin, OSS and OAQ ready to download.

Here the link of my patreon. If you are able, please support and motivate me for future projects...

Well I'm on headphones but I think my favorites are DoDoD, Harqules, Chopa... I alot of the compressors seemed to really pump a lot and some of the controls here and there are a little confusing to me, linked EQs only work when moving the top-most knobs (they are based off of old hardware, right? so I guess that is why?) the graphics are very nice though, I didn't have any technical issues, whatever "spike" happened I didn't notice or it goes away after the initial load-in.

for fun effects that look cool you really can't go wrong here

great work Tunca

Tested out the newer version. CPU wise , way better. I still have some problems using the sweet drums ( when enabling the oversampling clips the channel, so it mutes) and Kolin too. Same behaviour.

Thanks for the updates.

Just a heads-up: those two new FET plugins (FETdrive and FETsnap) are insanely good!
Tunca, congrats, using the drive on overheads and drum room* gave me a big big smile on my face!

* well, if I'm honest also on solo guitar and strummed acoustic

Yes they are indeed free if you dig deep enough. I am now downloading them (most of them) as it really does seem like the dev is making a sincere effort to gt his products 100% safe & redeem himself after being hacked.
Certainly deserves to have us actually check his stuff out.

Thank you, Tunca.

I just hope |I| am not asbout to get clobbered...

I’ve downloaded most of his plugins and have only checked a few out so far. I like the Brit Channel quite a bit. Even without tweaking any of the controls it seems to add a nice warmth th the channel you put it on. Really nice on ITB distorted guitars that reduces (at least on my system) some of the harshness you tend to get with amp sims and IRs.
I am also really liking Fetish a ton as a colored compressor. It reminds me a lot of when Molot came out. But it is like Molot on steroids as far as adding noise. I do get a volume jump on certain instruments like snare where it will auto mute the channel, but I think that is more of where I have it in the chain.

That isn't either what it's intended for. It alters the transients as in "drive an 1176 in all-buttons-mode". "Hairy" is the correct term, I guess. I have used it to my great pleasure on strummed acoustic guitar tracks, on electric guitar, overheads, snare and kick drums - never at 100% mix though. That tone knob is conceived really well, gives a lot of timbral options.

Gave it a second shot and now its ok. I dont know if it was something on the session i tried it on i only got some glitches even with low snap values.
Yes is great indeed. Lots of possibilities tweaking the parameters.

There's some real gems among them, IMVHO sonically almost in the same league as Acustica stuff, but much less CPU. Switching to "Oversample" often results in a DC spike though, be warned (Reaper automutes thankfully!!).

Hi,
Just to mention that after one hour or so using multiple instances of Rare with Reaper 6.12c, it becomes more and more noisy, until no sound goes out but just noise.
When it arrives, everything goes back to normal a soon as the plugin is bypassed.
The Vu-meter also goes to the red zone.
I have tested with another soundcard, same issue.

It's a shame, this plugin is the best Pultec emulator I've tried

Personally, I just find most of their stuff is too hard to figure out what it's supposed to be doing, what the knobs mean, how they interact, and how to control the overall effect. YALA, LALA, SQO, BXQ, Rare. This probably speaks volumes (some pun intended) as to why I'll never be a sound engineer.

It's more that a lot of them (basically all the ones you listed) are based on analog hardware [some sort of vari-mu comp, LA2A, SSL eq, Baxandall?, Pultec].

Personally, I like using hardware emulations (especially compressors) over other plugins because of the limited controls. Like, if I use an la-2a emulation, because there are no attack and release controls, it either works for the tracks I put it on, or it doesn't.

They are free. I think it was just when they first set up the patreon, some plugins were originally going to be locked behind donation.
