This isn't my cup of cointreau, but it was really nice to listen to but as a guitar player I would wish for some power in the solo violins, but this isn't rock'n roll

Hi Mikael.

I use to be a rocker,...long time ago.
I prefer quieter things now. Some of my pieces are sometime more powerful, but not that much.
Thanks for your comments and listening anyway.

Bye.

_A cup of Calva maybe ? ;-)

Default Chemins

Hi there.

Sunday morning (in France).

Some calm strings, for this not "not winter, not spring" morning.

https://hearthis.at/thierryvastel/chemins/

Enjoy, bye.

Hi Prom.

Yes, Scottish weather might not be that different from mine in Normandy this days.

BR was part of a little "contest" we've done with friends on another forum. Trying to illustrate the 1982 movie "Blade Runner".

Thanx for the comments and listening.

Hi there.

This time, a real quartet (trying to), with BRSO Articulate to switches between articulations. Funny, working well.

Default En marche

New thing,

for those who are not following the french policy these days, that was the tagline of our wonderful, marvelous president. Just a private joke with a penfriend.

Now, strings again, with brass near the end.

https://hearthis.at/thierryvastel/en-marche/

Enjoy, Bye

Hi Scotty .

I'm sorry you experiment those problem. I have to agree that Hearthis isn't the best place to listen to music. They have their good sides but on the stream side...., I've seen sometime trying to listen to my last upload on Hearthis with no success and switching on Souncloud,
( https://soundcloud.com/thierry-vastel),
seeing that it's working very well. Unfortunately, this one is full for its free part and I had to upgrade to continue uploading, and I didn't want to pay, so I switch to Hearthis.

I'm living in the countryside, and my internet connection is ...4G and not very stable. With the storm, tonight, no TV (satellite) and no internet for half an hour. I wasn't able to find your mail, or I should have send it to you. Try private if you like.

Have a nice evening, Bye

They must have been reading because it's working perfectly now.
On the move is En mouvement without stopping.
Enjoyed it,instrumentation sounds authentic but still quite abstract.

Salut !

Default De choses...

Hi there.

Mostly Prom and Andy these days, but the other are welcome.

Another try, like a quartet with a synth (Pedal Pads, free from Spitfire Audio LABS), from the space...

https://hearthis.at/thierryvastel/de-choses/

Enjoy it, nice Sunday everybody.

Bye

Hi Andy.

And thanx for this comment.

This Freebie I'm talking about is really inspiring. I might go this way for a while. Bernard says it looks like a Mahler adagio. Hum hum hum....

It took me only yesterday to do this, not that I'm so proud being that fast, but to say that ambient music protocol isn't there and here* I explain why I've done this

Bye

I missed that.

I have just registered and installed. They appear to have other interesting, and free, instruments there.

thanks

Yes, they have a few interesting strings. Their Soft Piano which I've made a piece with is really cool too. And some other good keys too...

Bye

Default Messe

Hi there

Something related to the previous one although written much earlier. Probably by coincidence.

https://hearthis.at/thierryvastel/messe-longue-eq

I wanted to play the organ for a long time. To support my strings and to change a little bit.

Have a good day.

Hi there.

Same start as in another piece "xxxyyyzzz". I like this sort of an arpeggio of shorts. I wanted to give it another life. It took a radically different direction. Here it is :

https://hearthis.at/thierryvastel/version-audio/

Enjoy.

Nice work, Thierry

Tell me, in the Solo Strings library, how do you find the Violin "performance patch?"

I am finding it quite difficult to play it in real time and not so easy to edit afterwards.

cheers

J'adore la qualitée sonor! La révérbération est excellente.

Belle pièce, composition, et production.

Atmosphère = recueille interne, introspection, mystère, ....

Bravo

***

If you do not know about HARMONIUM - Quebecois band - please listen to the video/song above - this will change your life for ever ! I kid you not... I challenge you to find a more amazing composition and production.

Salut Conscious.

Bien content que tu ait apprécié.

Je ne le mixerais plus comme ça maintenant. J'ai évolué . Mais apparemment, les auditeurs continuent de bien l'aimer. Ça reste une bonne pièce, je crois.
