Default Getting ASIO drivers working after crashes

Okay, this is bugging the hell out of me.
Occasionally when I try to load a project with some CPU-intensive plugins, Reaper crashes. Fine. I can deal with this, load them in offline mode, reenable everything, whatever.

But when I reload Reaper, it tells me it had problems initializing the drivers for my Mbox2. When I go to my audio options, the inputs and outputs aren't named; they're just blank drop down menus. I have to reboot to use myinterface again.

Does anyone know of a way I can get Reaper to initialize the device correctly without having to reboot?

It's possible that the Reaper.exe process is still hanging in memory (thus still tying up the ASIO driver) after a crash, so killing that process in Task Manager could help.

Have you tried unplugging the Mbox2's USB cable for a few seconds before you restart Reaper? That could make Windows restart/reload the drivers. You can also try disabling/re-enabling the Mbox2 in the Windows Device Manager, for the same reason.

Thanks guys. Turns out I do have to end Reaper in the task manager, but I have to unplug the interface before I can do that.
