Change BPM w/o affecting clips

Most of my projects don't have any real rhythm, so I never pay attention to the grid really. I just put sounds where I want them.

But halfway through working on this track, I realize it is going to have an actual rhythm to it, so it'd be great if I could change the tempo without this also stretching out my MIDI and audio. Any tips?

Right click on the "Playback Rate" slider and scroll down to "Preserve pitch in audio when changing master playrate".

I think what you need is to select all the items you want to not change and press f2 to get into their settings (select "all" when asked). From here change the the items to "timebase" instead of "beats and length". That should help, let us know how you get on
