Default macOS: Screen coordinates relative to *top* left corner?

It seems that WDL/swell functions such as GetWindowRect return screen coordinates relative to the bottom left corner of the screen, instead of the top left like Win32.

Is there any setting (such as a #define'd variable) that can change this to top left?

* What about GDI and LICE functions in macOS? Do they also use coordinates relative to the bottom left of the device or bitmap?

* The mouse coordinates (relative to the window) sent by mouse events such as WM_LBUTTONDOWN?
