There is a band called Fair To Midland who did something really neat and I am sure they aren't the only ones.
This was on CD days and on a track, there was a hidden track where you go to a certain track and you hold the rewind button and go back to about 1:50 or so and then you can hear a short hidden song.
Is there a way to do that now on digital only releases?
Physical data distribution, even in digital format, offered some tricks which cannot really be reproduced in a straight digital streaming, unless the streaming service end offers a similar feature for you. Hidden track
The old trick of leaving a long silence after the officially listed song could maybe work. But still pretty easy to spot just by checking the song length, remaining time or possible visual representation.
