That's true. The whole responsibility of ME is bad at the moment. Buttons are disappearing or change position unnecessarily. That applies for both the "transport" section and path/filter section.

Yeah but TCP has to be compact with fx embending and as less cluttered with FX parameters as possible when the user needs it.
For this an option to hide the parameters from the TCP should be considered IMO by clicking on each TCP fx. I hope so..

IMO, the workflow would be improved by adding sample directly after the active track.

With a large project, adding sample at the very end is not very optimal:

Sure, +1 for all actions that create a new track. And that new track should become only one selected and marked as last touched.

I've noticed this little bug with the new FX visualization on 150% or higher.
The horizontal meter also gets narrower when showing the FX, so I hope we will be able to hide this new feature for individual tracks without having to resize them (especially on the master track in the tcp).

(Moved from another thread)
Just me?

In the MCP, the text in the FX list is white. In v6.11 it is black:

Is there some Theme tweak or WALTER code I have missed?

--------------------
And this release crashes ("not responding") with the latest MeldaProduction plug-ins - these are OK in v6.11. I have not tried other releases of 6.12 (but did see a report of the same problem from another user).

--------------------
Edit: Both issues are resolved in v6.12+dev0708.

Agreed and I also like the new layout better. Parameters are close to their plugin, as it should be.

Additionally, I would vote for a collapse/expand functionality for the paramters.
So we could show/hide the parameters for each plugin individually, if needed.

By double click perhaps.

Well I completely misunderstood that one, thanks everyone for putting me straight. I had been fretting about what I thought that meant...

+1 I vote for collapse/expand as well

Also, I would really like to see the option per individual plugin, NOT just on/off for the entire mixer.

EDIT: Saw that it was in the right click menu already.

Totally agree on this, I even made a layout showing the idea of expanded sub listings > v6.12+dev0703.

If we're talking about the same idea, the feature must have options to expand/collapse all TCPFx parm slots per track, as well as keeping individual slots open, and still follow the column flow.

I do believe this would be a huge thing, and could open up many possibilities for more features to exist in sub listings under each FXinsert; colors, value-input, pdc, notes and more.

Also I believe this 'thing' would be a tricky task to implement in Reaper.

Worth the effort IMHO.

Not if it breaks existing workflows and project layouts! Option please.

+1000
Left click on the TCP fx to show/ hide the parameters separately for each FX would be great, double click on parameters is showing the fx. Showing the fx could, be transfered too in the menu as an option.

Anyone getting "poof/disappearing to desktop" crashes when loading some iLok plugins? I've had two in the last few days with the dev builds, but they're very inconsistent. Is there a procedure to to pull out logs when this happens. Using Windows 10 x64, latest dev build, iLok License Manager 5.2.1.

Happened twice in the last 24 hours. Last night, I thought it was the Kawai K1 emulation I was checking out at fault (I was adding a SoundToys plugin as an insert), but it just happened again when adding a Kush plugin (OmegaTWK) to a track during playback. Both times dragging and dropping from the browser onto the MCP.

It's not consistently reproducible, hence why I'm looking for how I can be more useful next time it does happen.

Could the noticeable gab between autoplay and selecting files be improved?
And could you please add backward/forward buttons? Would make sense as we have play, pause, stop and shuffle buttons at our disposal .

Still not very responsive

Not the most representative example because the gif is 'slower'

Could you please add horizontal scroll bar in ME Wave form part? Because it's hard to navigate long media files without it.

And I'd also like to have a 'needle search' like in Winamp to quickly search parts of a media file:
