Monitoring FX crash Reaper
Got a Runtime Error (see pic) when activating or deactivating
different plugins in Monitoring FX window - tried with Voxengo SPAN,
Izotope Insight 2 and ReaEQ (same error for everyone).
Clicking OK on Runtime Error window makes Reaper go down.
My Event Log shows Application Error:

Hmm, can you post your reaper.ini and a video (LICEcap .gif preferably) of you duplicating this crash?

Ok here it is - I zipped them because the files went bigger than the
allowed size on forum (Why so low max size for gif?).

Do you have any scripts running, or any control surfaces configured in Preferences/Control Surfaces?
(Edit: looks like you do have Control Surfaces -- can you try removing the Control Surfaces and see if that fixes? And if so, which one fixes?)

I removed WebRemote and Presonus Faderport and stopped ReaLauncher but
get runtime error still.

I just found out something new - Reaper still crasches the same way (Reaper 5.986/x64),
BUT if I instead of activate/deactivate the ReaEQ in FX list make it in
the right upper corner of ReaEQ (at right of wet knob) nothing happens!
No crasch - just ReaEQ activated/deactivated.....STRANGE??

Justin! I must apologize - I wasnt telling the truth to you!
I told you that I had removed all that could interfere with Reaper,
but I didn't see that I had ReaLearn on a hidden track still connected
- SORRY! I just removed it and tried to open and close FX Monitor and
activate and deactivate any plugin and now all works. No crasch of Reaper!
Tested this also with the new excellent Reaper 6.0.
...so I guess developer of ReaLearn need to know this, I will tell.
And I apologize again for taking up your time with this.

I had also certain crashes with ReaLearn, thus stopped using it. I liked its flexible mapping, but only if it would not crash itself or Reaper.

Yes its flexible and so easy to use with LBX_. I have wrote
in another thread about this and I saw on Helgoboss Bitbucket
that some people had the same problem - hope Helgoboss will fix this.

Crashing without any ReaLearn
Hello!
I have the same crashes with different (but not all!) izotope-plugins, e.g. ozone 8 or neutron. I do not use any RealLearn, and it also happens, when I start a new project and, before doing anything else, try to insert one of those plugins into a channel.
When I open projects with ozone 8 being inserted from earlier days, everything runs properly, until I try to open the gui of one of those plugins.
I did not use these plugins or those projects since about 3 weeks. In between something must have happened. It occurres also with my older reaper version.
Very bad, for ozone 8 is my preferred mastering tool...
Any ideas?
- Meanwhile (some days later) I had contact with Izotope support. They asked me to delete all versions of c++ runtime und install it again. Did not help. Next suggestion, uninstall Ozone and Neutron completely and reinstall did not help either. I´ve found that the standalone version of ozone 8 is running properly. I have tried to go back to earlier versions on reaper, where it had worked definitely - no improvement. Only Ozone 8 and Neutron 2 crash, nothing elso of Izotope´s plugins, no other plugins by other developer....
- 12-11: Installed demo version of Samplitude. No problems. Izotope says, it must have to do with Reaper. Please help! I don´t want to switch to Samplitude!
12-17: SOLVED: Installing older versions of Ozone and Neutron worked, also installing the new Ozone 9.

When Ozone 9 is docked, it can produce crashes.

Fixed in last pre-release (I believe)
Replied in the main realearn thread, but just in case, here is the issue in the tracker and the pre-release that should correct it:
