Default field recordings from venice

spent a few days in venice having a look around. saw the vogalonga and loads of other good sights. made a load of recordings and just finished editing them into one smaller piece. all done in reaper, a bit of t-racks eq and compression on the master, just volume adjustments on the other tracks. thanks

cool! it's been a few years since i've been to Venice, but wow - hearing some of those sounds (especially the church bells) really brought back a few memories. cramp, narrow passages leading to big beautiful courtyards. drinking grappa at The Hotel Gritti! the smell ... er, i digress.

how and with what did you record this, if i may ask? Kudos!

hey thanks

fyi - nearly all recorded on my trusty old minidisc recorder, with sony stereo mic. a bit old school but i've always been pleased with the results. a little bit recorded on a Flip hd mini camera, which is a bit dated too but still records pretty well, especially if you need to record something quick

then i just put it all into reaper and edited it down from about 30 minutes of raw footage

venice looked amazing, i didnt see a car or even a bicycle for three days

Nice! I recently just got into field recording with an Zoom H6. I've only recorded around my home town though. I'd love to travel to somewhere like Venice and record.
