Default Firebird2 crashing

I just tried using Tone2's Firebird2 and it's crashing within a few minutes of using it.

I've searched the forum here and it appears others don't have this problem. I'm wondering if there's some setting I need to change to accommodate Firebird2.

Thanks.

It has one of the most aggressive copy protection schemes even if it's a freeware (!) and there's a known bug where it might crash because of your iLok/Pace drivers, but it could be reacting badly to anything like firewall or anti-virus as Firebird scans all your disks and changes any file attributes at will and god knows what else. I'd stay away if I were you, especially as there are other top freeware synths like DUNE BE etc that are super stable and fuss free.

I found firebird to very buggy - prone to giving out very loud bursts of white noise when I used it.

Whew, it's not just me. I think we're learning why they set it free ;-)

Interestingly Both the BE and CM version have crashed reaper now and again for me - Reap just disappears with no error messages or indication of what's happened.
