Default noob cannot load vst

Hi I'm new to this home studio recording, I really like the ease of recording and mixing in Reaper, however I cannot load any VSTs other than what came with Reaper. I creating various folders paths and no luck, I tried some others suggestions on the forum, I get confused with some of the terms and jargon and because of my affliction I can only read very little, I tried Reaper 64 and 32 bit, is there any videos that can help or other suggestions? for now I would just like a drum vst to work, tried the free one on the forum no luck and I like to know how to make them work before buying any

thanks

if all you're plugins are in program files(x86)vstplugins and program files vstplugins, you can just copy my path from the earlier post an paste it into the vst path in pref's

thanks for the help, I was only able to install, uvi workstation, mdrummer and the anvil wont work, I guess I will have to buy something for drums (jazz kit from uvi not much) and use outboard equip for guitars. It all looks super easy on YouTube, and for the 97% of the forum users probably is. My digital quest will continue

again thank you

just a thought make sure that some plugins are not installing into steinberg\vstplugins folder, since steinberg invented VST alot of plugins install into that folder, that's caught me out sometimes. that was my problem when some of my plugins wouldn't show up in my DAW.
