Default A/B Compare function for the plugins

Protools and other have it, this would be very handy in Reaper also, a compare function.

You can also do it with screensets. I made myself a toolbar for it. https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=109395

Hi MPL, that script doesn't do anything?
Do you have some description?

It acts like AB button in Cubase FX panel like shown at this pic:

mpl_Cubase AB floating FX make equal.lua is a "=" button in the same panel.

Works great!
Is there a way to trigger "mpl_Cubase AB floating FX make equal" action automatically every time user opens vst plugin window?

would too love to have this functionality without having to rely on scripts

the pop up menu that shows up when pressing the "+" button inside the plugin header would be a perfect place to put these inside, without taking any additional space inside the header at all

^^ it’s a very simple yet super useful feature.
But I Would prefer A B (and C?) slots always visible tho then under a menu.

Yes.. this seems like it would be the one of the most useful and easiest to implement features.

My favorite implementation I've seen is the way it's done in Plugin Alliance stuff. You have 4 slots which you can copy and paste between. This would really be a great thing to have. Could actually make a significant improvement in the mixes people create using Reaper.
