Default Reaper and Bias FX 2

Please Help! I’ve been using Reaper with VST Bias FX and now Bias FX 2 with no problem. I recently updated Reaper and now it won’t recognize Bias at all. I’ve tried running new scan for VST, I’ve even uninstalled then reinstalled the programs. Still not working. Should I have not updated Reaper?!! Can I go back to the version that worked?

Did you do a plain rescan or a clear/rescan? Reaper automatically logs any plugin that doesnt load correctly as defective & marks it out of you FX list until you do a full clear/rescan - usually once you have figured out what went wrong in the first place, but worth a try to see if Bias shows up again after.

How many different VST folders are you scanning from? I had an issue once where adding a new VST folder to the list to scan from appeared to overwrite a previous one. So REAPER did add the new plugins, but forgot some of the older ones no matter how many scans I would do.

So try installing all of your plugins in the same folder. Then scan that one folder. That's how I solved the issue.
