Bumping this one, just asking if you think it's worth putting in there for your next release unless I missed it somewhere?

This and the other capitalization issues have been taken care of. It required a few splicer tweaks. (The splicer has a secret function that processes new ReaMenu sets to strip my personal stuff, the toolbars, etc.)

It's now in File->Tools->Clean project directory. Sorry for the delay!

You can find this (and many other functions) on the new Extensions menu.

Hi mike, been a "user" for a while now.
Was wondering if you might consider re-including the sws snapshot menu within reamenus, think it normally only shows in mcp).
thanks

I'd need to know which menu you want them on. The snapshot actions are currently on the Main Window->Track menu.

Whoops didn't see it was already there sorry
I was thinking for the right click menus on the tcp and mcp as its a menu in itself but will maybe not since you already have it in top menus.
What's your opinion on having it in right click track context menu?

I'm more curious what the community thinks. Who would find snapshots useful in the track context menus? Who objects?

I think I should point out that you can always add whatever actions you want above a separator that you label #protect-above or at the bottom of the menus below a separator labeled #protect-below and then when you need to upgrade ReaMenus, use the Splicer. Just in case it doesn't get added, that is.

Cool I didn't know that thanks
I'm hoping that because it shows up as a single menu item leading to it's own menu it could be stashed at the bottom but I'm willing to go with the crowd too and put it in myself it's not major problem for me just use it occasionally

will there be an issue using
ReaMenus 008.ReaperMenuSet (REAPER 3.66/SWS 1.7.3#2)
with the current 3.69 release?
or shall i wait for the update to reamenus before trying it.
i'm still learning this program, and whilst the organization of the menus is one of my main irritations with it, i don't want to get into a game of constant catch-up every time i update reaper.
there's no chance updating reaper will mean some big conflict that will stop certain functions working, right?

The current version of ReaMenus works perfectly with 3.69. (The only "danger" with ReaMenus is having a newer version of ReaMenus than the current reaper/sws. And even then, all that happens is you get a few null menu actions. But 99% of the time, you're safe.)

Yeah, it'll work now! The solution came to me the other night, but I didn't have a chance to implement it until now. Splice away!
One thing though--Did you do any editing to your MenuSet after export? I only ask because it's the first MenuSet I've seen that didn't have an extra space at the end of certain lines.
Enjoy!

Perhaps, though I should hope that after some 400 splicer uses, there would be more than one mac user in the mix. Also, I forgot to say thanks for helping me find that bug!

REAPER 4.0 is coming!
The word's still out about what menu improvements we'll see in the default set for 4.0, but it's a safe bet to assume that ReaMenus will be moving into 4.0.
That means that pretty soon we've got to release a terminal release for ReaMenus 3.X branch. What can be improved, fixed, or updated for that terminal 3.X release? Make your voice heard now, because I'm ready to focus on updating ReaMenus to 4.0.
Thanks for your continued feedback.

That would be far to early. And it wouldn't really help with the alpha process. People participating with the development should really better use the stock releases for now.

I'm working on it.
Thing is, the new actions are very much in flux and SWS extensions are in the process of removing the actions that are no longer needed in 4.0... thus, it'll be a while until it makes sense to release the next version of ReaMenus.
I'll upload what I've got near the end of the month for testing purposes. Just remember that you really shouldn't be using an alpha to work on important projects...

As far as I am concerned SWS and ReaMenus are such an important part of Reaper that I probably won't upgrade before both have been updated.
But I do the Cockos should change the menu system in version 4 along the lines of ReaMenus. The menu system has been an obstacle for newcomers, and not all find out about ReaMenus before they give up.

Please forgive me if I'm missing something, but I can't find the actual file on Mike's page?
I'm on:

But I can't actually see any files for download? :?
Apologies for any stupidity!

Very end of the page, you should see:

Is there a guide to editing the ReaMenus? Specifically I don't need "default menu" at the bottom of everything.

Options->Menus/toolbars...->[]Include default menu as submenu
Make sure that option (at the very top of the window) is unchecked. Also, check out the ReaMenus Splicer (via my sig) for information on how to edit remenus and yet be able to update.

I don't want to do any editing myself, I just gratefully receive the Reamenus as they are made. Hence I don't go in detail with their works, and that's the reason for a stupid question:
Running Reaper 4 alpha I still have the Reamenus from the previous install of Reaper 3. Does the "default menu as submenu" now reflect the Reaper 4 menu, or am I stuck with an older version?

The "default" option always represents the most recent menus.
As an aside, I've been working hard to bring ReaMenus up to date with 4.0--but there are SO many changes and additions between Reaper, SWS+(soon) the new FNG actions... It's awesome, but I definitely won't release a new ReaMenus until the official 4.0 release.

I'd like to first of all thank those involved in creating this menu. You've solved the big hairy confusing menus that REAPER comes with. However, I see it not as a final solution, but a great starting point for me to fix the one big flaw:
These menus are clearly made for noobies. Over time I will edit these menus until only the essentials are left. Here are some examples of what I'm talking about:
1. I'd never right click to delete points. I'm getting rid of "delete point" and "delete selected points.
2. When I right click to change the shape of a point, I want the shape options to be at the immediate top not inside a sub menu.
3. I don't need stuff in a context menu that will never be available such as "change shape of current point" when a "current point" is not selected.
4. Confusion: What's the difference between "Lock envelopes" and "Toggle locking"? The labels should read "Enable locking" and "Toggle locking" or something.
Just a few things, but I know I can come up with many many more. I really don't like how the media context menu was in the original or in ReaMenus008. The contols I need immediately are buried in submenus. I'll work on that for sure.
