Default Hide Only VSTs while keeping VST3s in FX filter

Hello All! I've been using reaper for a little over a year now and now that I've also graduated from Mac to PC, I'm running into a couple issues with plugins. It seems that the VST versions of Waves plugins do not work properly, and have some sort of authorization, which isn't a big issue since the VST3 versions work fine. I've been trying to use the FX filters in options to hide all the Waves VSTs, but the VST3s are hidden as well. I know I can use different folders to accomplish this, but I like having all my VSTs in the same folder for using other DAWs. I'm currently using the line below as my filter:

NOT (^VST "(Waves)")

Am I missing something, or is it impossible to filter out only VSTs while keeping VST3s, and I should just go the folder route?

Also I found that I can hide the VSTs with "NOT x86", but this doesn't work on my Mac and I'd like to prevent myself from absentmindedly putting the VST version of a waves plugin on a track while working on my Mac.

Thank you for your help!

I'm on Windows. This works for me. The spaces are important:

NOT ( VST: (Waves) )

An alternative is to go to your waves folder in Reaper's Fx browser, hold down ctrl key (control key) select all VST 2 plugins from the waves folder, right click and select "Remove from developer". You will never see the VST 2 versions again.
