Default Item envelopes VS track height

in this example i have all item envelopes active (except for mute i think)

the problem is, when the track is zoomed all the way down (minimum height) selecting/copy/moving an item with envelopes active is kinda... nightamerish

(see image to understand)

so could you make the item envelopes (including item fades/volume-handle NON-editable if track height is less than *px ?

EDIT: the option to prevent edit of item fades exists already, so just the rest have to be done

Oh God +1

Just like we can 'disable' fades it would be a Godsend if we could also disable per-take envelopes at specific heights (in pixels). Sometimes my blood pressure goes over the top because of this "let's copy that item... hmmm where do I click on?.... *pixel hunting*.... here... doh!, just moved a point"

There is an action in the list that goes something like "toggle hide envelopes on selected tracks" and "toggle hide envelopes on all tracks"

whack those on a key command and it will be very quick to hide the offending envelopes, move stuff around/hack stuff up/whatever, and then unhide them again.

1.Hit a key
2.Do stuff
3.Hit the same key again

We're talking about per-take envelopes, not track envelopes Right now we just have actions that toggle those envelopes on/off which means we have to select the item, find the key for the envelope you want to 'deactivate' (or keys, if there are several envelopes active), copy/cut/move the item and find those keys again to bring them back. If you sum the fact that you'd possibly need to move a bunch of items where some of them have envelopes while others don't it could easily mess up your current work.

Why am I thinking you don't know about per-take envelopes and you're confusing them with track envelopes which are 2 completely different things? I'm probably just nuts but I'd like to make sure we're on the same page here

Hello from a decade later Big +1! The absence of this option caused me much trouble. I hope you devs can implement this soonish..

Edit: this thread seems to be in pre-releases? Should probably be moved to the FR forum..
