Default Mixer panels layout

Workflow Q:

Is it just me or don't you expect to be able to change the mixer panels by right-clicking the mixer instead of only having to go Options-Layouts-Mixer Panel-[whatever choice]?

Fabian,

This is true and I didn't know about it.

However, it isn't obvious to me that this option should be under the Track Layout...

If I right click the mixer I'd like to have the layouts and all other mixer related options popping up right away and keep the track options when you right-click the tracks.

I feel that they are separate contexts and should be handled as such. Does this make any sense?

It's on the track because the layout is one a per-track basis. Having a "change all" option would be nice though.

Currently there is no way to change the layout of the master track from any mixer menu. I'd appreciate if the mixer track and mixer master layouts would be available in the mixer context. It's possible to customize a copy of the layouts entry in the options menu into the mixer context, but the items concerning mixertracks and master should be there out of the box, IMO.

Btw, you as well can't change the master tcp layout from it's context menu. So the track context menu needs a master track layout menu as well.

EDIT:

Then again, I don't think I'll change the layout of the master very often. It's just something that hit the eye when dabbling with WALTER. Heck, still it feels wrong. I also want a layout menu on the transport that lets me change the layout of my transport .

Hmmm, I just found out that by using option-layouts-mixer panel changes all off the meters/mixer while right-click only changes the selected object.

You can copy the cockos native "default layouts" action from its default location and paste it anywhere you like.
The subfolder it is in will not move, but the action itself will.

Im certain i once pasted it into the transport right click, and had a layouts menu on transport.

Sure, you cant seperately place mixer layouts here, tcp layouts there etc etc, but you can paste all of them at once, lock stock and barrel, in a few select places (mixer, tcp, trans)
