With this project : https://stash.reaper.fm/39845/bug%20a.rpp

show overlapping media items in lines: ON

CRTL+C/CRTL+V and then drag&drop copy/past = no issue

Directly drag&drop copy/past = bug

This is some kind of rounding issue, but I'm still unable to reproduce it!

MIDI pitch adjustment is working well. Another big request off the list.

Treating notes as embedded transients (no need to show the lines) would allow using the new snapping to transients feature with MIDI, improving tempo matching and key matching with selections. Just a thought.

Also since MIDI isn't limited like audio (optionally) showing transpose features could allow MIDI files to be usable in different keys/modes etc.

As for importing, being able to create new files from selections without stopping both the project and ME would really improve the workflow. I know Reaper isn't Ableton Live, but the less required starting/stopping the better.

How does this work, I have no interest at all in fx parameters on my TCP, but the fx themselves ala MCP would be amazing, but I dont want to add fxparm to my theme if it only shows the fx when you show parameters ?

OK, so now I need to know what they mean hahaha, so far it looks perfect, if I can WALTER it in to my theme (tried a couple of others themes and they are a bit too responsive for me, I prefer static, so not going from horizontal layout to vertical the more TCP you expose)

Reaper now does not allow you to copy the item from track to track if the visibility of the envelope is turned off, and the hidden envelopes are no longer copied.

This seems like a poor use of space to me, and i think it is because the fx slots themselves are part of the fxparm WALTER settings, if they where separate, it would seem to me that you could then have a vertical column showing fx slots, and horizontal rows aligned with those fx slots to show visible parameters, that would be super slick.

Current, not so nice use of space.

Optimal, nice use of space.

(Forgive the poor quick mock ups)

If it was like that, I would probably even use show fx parameters hahaha.

But FYI this is a great feature for me right now, i am trying to minimize usage of the MCP for sound design, and this is perfect.

Great! A little quirk: when you insert transposed MIDI and want to play anything in ME again, it won't transpose it. Steps to reproduce:
1. Play MIDI in ME
2. Change pitch
3. Paste MIDI into a project
4. Listen to any MIDI in ME
(Expected)5. It will transpose it
(Unexpected)5. It will play it with default pitch.

Not been able to check yet but if those tcp effects can be dragged to change order then that would be amazing as I often have to do that when adding a new effect.

New right-click menus are definitely a good step, all is just more usable right now.

Here are some suggestions:

1) the trio "Create database...", "Make database from current folder" and "Add current folder to shortcut list" should be only in the menu for Shortcuts, not in empty explorer area. It is redundant and kind of illogical, since databases and shortcuts have a special column for them.

2) there are two concepts which could be reduced to one - current folder vs selected folder. Current folder is just where we are, does not necessarily present what we work with, that's what selection is for. So these could be remade:

Make database from current folder -> New database from selected folders (this would create one new database, put all selected folders as paths to it)

Add current folder to shortcut list -> New shortcut from selected folder

These would be the same as actions in the right-click on a folder. They should be in the same order on both places.

3) some lines could be shortened, plus some ideas:

(insert/use)
-----
Play preview (we initiate playback with this, that's the most important)
-----
Refresh (this would refresh file browser as well as metadata (or is there any performance penalty with metadata?))
-----
Cut
Copy
Paste
-----
Delete
Rename (renaming could be done inline as well, no need for an extra window)
-----
Show in Explorer (just Explorer for win, just Finder for macs, capital E/F)
Properties (this should be grayed out when not applicable, as should be all actions)

4)
Always show waveform peaks for selected media -> Auto-load preview

There are still few more things left to make it more accessible.

Media explorer docked on the right side of the screen. By changing the width, graphic glitches can be seen in the upper part. The Rate knob disappears when set to the minimum width:

This is amazing! But i wish if we could right click on the effect and if at the top there was a dropdown menu with the fx parameters that would allows us to show it's envelope parameters fast.

Also it would be nice if we could add a fx straight from the TCP panel empty slots.

EDIT: an option to show one fx at a time would help save some space too. E.g if we have 2 fxs loaded, to show 1st or 2nd only with its parameters that would add an envelope when we click on them.

There is a drop down at the bottom of the last effect that allows you to add a parameter (in the empty area when you left click) and if you right click the effect you can add effects.

Justin. If dragging effects around is very difficult what about adding a "move up" and "move down" option when right clicking on the effect?

Thank you i'm aware of this, what i meant was to add parameter also when you right click on the effect not in the empty slot for saving some space.

Also adding a new fx can be done only if i right click on a preexisting fx, what i meant was to add fx from an empty slot as well

The procedure i have in mind goes like: Add an fx from an empty slot, right click on the fx shows the fx parameters where when we click on them it adds an envelope.
If we have more than one fxs on tcp slots, an option for right click to show one at a time (toggle). (This one not sure if it's possible though)

Aligning Fxs and parameters vertically would be great in default theme like in the attached picture.

It would be useful to have one extra empty slot to add plugins with less clicks.
