What do you run your guitar through? Hardware or software? What do you use?

Thanks !
Well, my guitar is plugged into the ModDuo (
https://www.moddevices.com/products/mod-duo).
And the ModDuo goes to a Focusrite Solo USB interface directly to the computer.
That ModDuo is a pedal where you can load numerous effects on and create pedalboards via the webbrowser. It's not cheap, but it runs on linux and is also community based. It has endless possibilities.
A free alternative would be
http://guitarix.org/
But that runs via Jack, and I dislike Jack and work via ALSA.
I've had a lot of trouble with finding a good setup before, using Carla or Rakarrack... I tried lots of distros and DAW's before... but I think now it was my bad Behringer USB interface that didn't work well.... Maybe I'll try later with all the other alternatives, but for now I'm good.
