Thank you so much! While I like and use Reaper as my DAW, I am not a fan of the default icon (really not a fan, arggh) and that icon is just intensified in the default splash logo. I will put one of your custom logos to good use. Still searching for a replacement logo but maybe I can turn one of your splash logos into a matching icon.

the "black_sleek" looks beautiful, something like that could be part of Reaper 6,
many thanks for the splash screens!

Hey all,
In REAPER 6, where do you put SPLASH.PNG? I can put it into the Default 6.0 themezip file, but when I update REAPER, it'll get replaced.
Thanks in advance!
Dax.

wherever you want,
and then in Reaper Preferences -> General -> "Advanced UI/system tweaks" there's location path you can select for "Custom splash screen image"

Transparency no longer works
Hello! – I am on Mac 11.6.7 and none of the splash transparent screens seem to work.
It's very strange cause I do remember it used to work, though.
Can someone please try one of the transparent splash screens and let me know if it works for you?
For me they look like this:
You can try:
• plate.png
• arttheysaid.png
• reaperHDsplash.png
I even tried on fresh REAPER install (even went back to v5.0 and it still doesn't work) – so I am having a very Mandela Effect moment lol. I remember it used to work
Thank you

Bummer – yeah, every splash screen looks squared and glitchy.
I have confirmed this isn't working with 3 people using OSX 11 and 12.
Also I just asked a Windows and Linux user to test it out...
❌ Linux user also had same issue with transparent splash screens.
✅ Windows user had NO issue with transparent splash screens.
In conclusion:
Transparent splash screens only work on Windows and it's broken on OSX 11+ and Linux.
I will report the bug
EDIT: Bug report added
